Frames That Define You

Eyewear should reflect who you are, not just correct your vision. Our collection runs from designer pieces to quality everyday options, fitted for every age from toddlers to adults, and paired with the right lens for how you actually live.

More Than A Prescription

A frame sits on your face for most of your waking day, which makes it one of the more personal things you'll own. We treat choosing one as a proper styling conversation, not a rushed decision once your eye test is done, taking into account your face shape, your prescription, your lifestyle and, honestly, what you actually like the look of.

Our collection spans designer pieces from TAG Heuer, Lafont, Furla and Esprit, through to quality everyday frames at a range of price points, plus dedicated ranges for children and for Asian fit face shapes.

Common Questions

Eyewear Questions We're Asked Often

What frame brands do you stock?
Our collection ranges from designer names, including TAG Heuer, Lafont, Furla and Esprit, through to quality everyday frames at a range of price points. We also carry Tomato Glasses, a dedicated children's eyewear range, and a large selection of Asian fit frames. If you're after a specific brand, it's worth calling ahead to check what we currently have in-store.
Can I bring my own frame and have your lenses fitted?
In most cases, yes, as long as the frame is in good structural condition. We'll check it over before ordering lenses to make sure it'll hold up to the fitting process and everyday wear.
Do you have frames for young children?
Yes. We stock children's frames from toddler age through to teens, including our Tomato Glasses range, built specifically for smaller, still-growing faces with adjustable fit. See our dedicated Kids Eyewear page for detail.
How long does dispensing take once I've chosen a frame?
It depends on the lens you need. Standard single vision lenses are often ready within a few days, while premium designs, higher indexes or specialised coatings can take one to two weeks. We'll confirm an accurate timeframe once your lens is selected.
Do you process health fund claims?
Yes, we process claims via HICAPS for all recognised health funds, so in most cases you'll only need to pay the gap amount at the time of collection.
How much do frames and glasses cost at Eyecare Concepts?
Frame prices vary by brand and range, and total cost depends on the lens design and coatings you pair with it. We give you an exact, itemised quote before you commit, covering both frame and lens, so there are no surprises at collection.
Can I bring an old prescription, or do I need a new eye test?
We need a current, valid prescription, generally less than 12 months old, before dispensing new glasses. If your last test was longer ago or you're not sure your prescription is current, we can book you in for an eye test at the same visit.
What should I bring to my glasses fitting appointment?
Bring your current glasses if you have them, your health fund card, and your prescription if it wasn't issued by us. If you're due for an eye test, we can often do that at the same appointment rather than requiring a separate visit.
Can I get my glasses adjusted or repaired if they don't fit right?
Yes, we offer frame adjustments and minor repairs for glasses we've dispensed, and can generally adjust fit issues, slipping, pinching, unevenness, in a short in-store visit without needing to book a full appointment.
Where is your eyewear practice located?
We're based in Kew East, serving patients across Melbourne's inner east, including Hawthorn, Camberwell and Balwyn, as well as families and patients who travel from further afield for our frame range and specialty lens fittings.
